Antiquorum's October 8th auction of Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces in New York City inspired highly competitive bidding resulting in an impressive 86% of all the lots being sold, totaling $5,600,490.
Among the extraordinary highlights of the sale were an A. Lange & Sohne Richard Lange Tourbillon Pour Le Merite in Platinum that sold for over double its estimate at $249,750; a Rolex Ref. 6240 "Paul Newman" Daytona in steel that achieved $243,750; and a Rolex Ref. 6239 with Tropical Dial that fetched $97,350.
These superb results indicate that rare timepieces in excellent condition continue to drive strong interest from the worldwide collector community. The upcoming December sale is expected to draw global attention with a selection of highly sought-after timepieces already consigned.
