Inaugurated by Nicolas G. Hayek on September 13, 2000, the Breguet Museum presents invaluable documents and items related to the history of the House of Breguet, founded in 1775.

Substantially enlarged and with its collections augmented, the Museum is now located on the first floor of the Breguet Boutique at 6 Place Vendôme, in Paris.

Here is an example of a rare extra-flat half-quarter repeating pocket watch, number 4961. Sold in 1831 to Lord Henry Seymour Conway, it is one of the most complicated watches to have been made by Breguet in such a slim case (7.7mm). This repeater watch displays equation of time, power reserve, calendar and moonphase.

It was purchased for more than one million Swiss francs at an auction in 2013.

Thanks.
