Audemars Piguet's new ambassador is international actress and women's right activist Freida Pinto. After becoming a fixture on the big screen with the critically and commercially acclaimed "Slumdog Millionaire", Pinto has recently been seen in four very different films: The Weinstein Company's "Miral", a drama centered on an orphaned Palestinian girl growing up in the wake of Arab-Israeli war, "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" opposite James Franco, "Black Gold" opposite Antonio Banderas and the epic "Immortals" opposite Henry Cavill and Mickey Rourke.

In addition to her successful career, Freida joined Plan International's "Because I am a Girl" campaign as their global ambassador in 2012 to support sustainable projects in developing countries and give girls access to clean water, food, healthcare, education, and protection from violence and exploitation.

Freida's passion, determination and force of character are a source of inspiration for Swiss Haute Horlogerie brand Audemars Piguet who is proud to count this Indian artist and women's rights activist as its new ambassador who perfectly embodies its philosophy "There are exceptions to every rule".
