The Modern Re-Interpretation pays homage to the 1959 Alpinist.
They are inspired by the original watch's distinctive design but are modern in their execution and up to date in technology, form and function.
Technical Specifications:
The case, in stainless steel, measures 38mm x 46.2mm x 12.9mm. It has a curved AR-coated sapphire crystal, a display back, and it is water resistant to 200 meters.
Movement is the Japanese automatic Seiko in-house caliber 6R35 with 24 jewels, 21,600 vph and a power reserve of 70 hours. Magnetic resistance: 4,800 A/m
Dials can be had in black, green or cream white, with Lumibrite applied to all three hands and the indeces that rest on silver bases to create a multi-dimensional effect.
It comes on a steel bracelet or a black vintage leather strap with folding clasp.
MSRP is $725 to $750. Available at Seiko Boutiques and selected retail partners worldwide in August 2021.
