Parmigiani Fleurier continues to showcase its dedication to Métiers d'Art and high watchmaking with the launch of the Tonda Reine de Mai collection.
Inspired by the bucolic landscape in Switzerland surrounding its factories and the flowers found there, it combines Parmigiani Fleurier's commitment to in-house manufacturing, fine finishings, and artistry. Nature and the beauty of the golden ratio are enduring sources of inspiration, and the Manufacture uses a wide array of artistic techniques to bring them to life in this release, including hand-chiseling, hand-diamond-setting, hand-polishing, hand-sandblasting, and marquetry.
Technical Specifications:
The case, in 18kt rose gold and set with 70 diamonds (2.1 carats), measures 36mm x 9.9mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal, a sapphire display back, and it is water resistant to 30 meters. White opal cabochon crown.
Movement is the Swiss automatic Parmigiani in-house caliber PF310 with 28 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 50 hours. It features a 22kt gold rotor hand engraved with Daisy May mother of pearl flowers. Finishing includes Côtes de Genève stripes, Perlage and beveled bridges.
The dial, in white mother-of-pearl and set with 117 diamonds (0.21 carats) is handcrafted and every one is unique because of the rotation of the flowers. 23 different marquetry elements are used. Skeletonized gilded leaf-shaped hands.
It comes on an 18kt rose gold bracelet set with 906 diamonds (9.22 carats).
