The latest jazz watch from Oris is made in homage to the great Australian jazz musician and multi-instrumentalist James Morrison. Born in 1962, James Morrison is also a composer and the founder of the James Morrison Academy of Music, or AoM, which opened in 2015 offering degree courses in jazz performance.
Jazz fans will recognise James first as a trumpeter, and it's this instrument that is most closely linked to the watch created in his name.
Technical Specifications:
The case, in stainless steel, measures 38mm. It has a domed AR-coated sapphire crystal and it is water resistant to 30 meters. The caseback is engraved with the AoM academy logo (a trumpet) and the limited edition number.
Movement is the Swiss automatic Oris caliber 733 (base Sellita SW 200-1) with 26 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 38 hours. Oris red rotor.
It has a blue gradient 'dégradé' dial with gilded hands and indices. The central seconds hand counterbalance is shaped like the finger hook of a trumpet. SuperLuminova coating on the hands and markers.
It comes on a 20mm black leather strap with a steel folding clasp.
