Limited Edition of 88 Pieces in Stainless Steel and 33 in 18kt Rose Gold

Frederique Constant introduces two new Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture timepieces. This exclusive watch has been specially created to celebrate the opening of Frederique Constant's new Manufacture building in the watchmaking hub of Plan-les-Ouates in Geneva, Switzerland.

This is a new historical milestone for the 30-year-old company. After thirteen years, the group (which includes Frederique Constant, Alpina Watches and Ateliers deMonaco), has been running out of space due to its rapid growth and high demand from its worldwide markets.
Two years were needed to achieve the construction of an additional 3,000 square meter space, bringing the Frederique Constant Group's headquarters up to 6,200 square meters, enabling to completely re-organize the implementation of the different working spaces.
The overall goal is to increase the production capacity from 160,000 to 250,000 watches per year within the next 5 years. The opening ceremony featured the Chairman of the Citizen Group, Mr Toshio Tokura.
Technical Specifications:
The case, in stainless steel or in 18kt rose gold, measures 42mm. It has double sapphire crystals and it is water resistant to 50 meters.

Movement is the Swiss automatic Frederique Constant in-house caliber FC-975 with 33 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 38 hours. It features a Silicium escapement wheel and anchor. It is finished with Perlage and Côtes de Genève decoration. Functions are: hours, minutes, seconds, date, day, month, leap year, and one minute tourbillon.

Frederique Constant patented its Tourbillon cage composed of 80 components all produced with a precision of 1-2 micron (0.001-0.002 mm) thanks to its CNC machines. In order to achieve the highest degree of precision, small weights are added in the Tourbillon's cage to obtain a perfect balance. When the Tourbillon is constructed, the cage's stability is slightly off, as the escapement wheel and anchor are decentered. Frederique Constant added a "smart screw" system on the outer edge of the Tourbillon to equalize the weight and deliver a perfect balance within the cage, resulting in a more stable amplitude and rate.

The partially skeletonized silver dial has navy blue sub-dials and outer ring. Hand polished white hands.

It comes on a navy blue alligator leather strap with steel or rose gold deployant.
MSRP is $22,995 to $32,995.
