The Renaissance "7 Time Zones" is a new mechanical Aerowatch model that in addition to local time also displays the time in 6 of the world's major cities. The concept of this timepiece is the brainchild of Fred-Eric Bolzli, horological engineer and co-proprietor of the family-owned Aerowatch company.
A pusher at 10 o'clock makes it possible to conveniently set the hands to local time at the owner's current location. The displays of the subsidiary dials remain unaffected. This adjustment is needed only when the owner travels across timezones.
Technical Specifications:
The case, in stainless steel or in steel black PVD, measures 44mm. It has a domed sapphire crystal, a display back, and it is water resistant to 50 meters.
Movement is the Swiss manual-wind ETA caliber 6497-1 with 17 jewels, 18,000 vph and a power reserve of 48 hours. Module developed by Aerowatch with display of 7 timezones. It features Rhodium-plated circular Côtes de Genève decors, circular grainning and blued screws. Ratchet wheel and wheel crown with decorated whirlwind motif, skeletonized and rose gold-plated. Functions are: local hour and minute time with 6 others timezones (24 hours counters).
It has a silvered sun-brushed dial with external black circular-brushed ring and white timer. 6 black thin circular-satined counters (24 hours) : LONDON, MOSCOW, DUBAI, TOKYO, SHANGHAI, NEW YORK with black polished diamond thread. Black rectangular indeces.
Local time hands: skeletonized, faceted, black lacquered, with SuperLuminova. 6 subsidiary 24 hours hands: shaped, polished rhodium-plated, with SuperLuminova.
It comes on a black leather strap with a customized steel folding clasp.
