Annual Calendar Chronograph

Based in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, Kennsen is a portmanteau of Germanic "know" and Scandinavian "son", Kennsen can be roughly translated as "Son of Knowledge", with which they pay tribute to their horological predecessors.
Kennsen was born out of an interest in watches and their mechanisms that was developed by a New Zealander who found himself temporarily in Switzerland. Still in Switzerland, some years and a lot of self-learning later, Kennsen now produces watches for those who share an interest in mechanical horology.
Kennsen's watches are all designed, produced and assembled in Switzerland. They build watches using their own in-house modules and add-on's, and partner with various experts in their fields to produce their watches.

Kennsen's inaugural watch is an Annual Calendar Chronograph. This self-developed complication operates in a completely new way thanks to its co-axial month and year gearing.
- The date and month indicators are located on a same plane, immediately distinguishing this watch from existing designs.
- The calendar functions are adjustable by the crown for ease of use.
- An unobtrusive Day/Night display assists adjustment.

This mechanism is protected by two patents and is one of the very few Annual Calendar Chronographs available.
The Annual Calendar Chronograph is based on a Top Grade ETA 7750 ebauche, hand adjusted (also in the Vallée de Joux) to better than chronometer level.
