The Polish watchmaker François Czapek, born in Bohemia (Czech Republic today), was an associate of Antoine Norbert de Patek, a fellow Pole. Both men lived in Switzerland. Napoleon III, Emperor of France, granted him the title Horloger de la Cour Impériale (Court Watchmaker).



Technical Specifications:
The case, manufactured by LAB in La Chaux-de-Fonds, is done in 18kt white or rose gold, and measures 42.5mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal, a sapphire display back, and is water resistant to 30 meters.



Movement is the Swiss manual-wind Czapek in-house caliber SXH1, created by Jean-François Mojon of Chronode, with 31 jewels, 21,600 vph and a power reserve of 7 days. Finish: double open ratchets, sandblasted bridges, blued screws, and polished bevelling. Functions are: hours, minutes, seconds. Second subdial at 7:30. Power reserve and weekday on subdial at 4:30.



The dial is a copper base, covered in Grand Feu enamel with elongated Roman numerals or markers, and polished gold or blued hands. It can be had in black with steel hands.



It comes on a black or brown alligator leather strap with an 18kt white or rose gold buckle.
