Linley worked with Thomas Mercer, famed British maker of bespoke chronometers, to create the Aquilo Chronometer. The casing is crafted from marine grade stainless steel, atop a base crafted out of blue eucalyptus and solid oxidised oak.
Technical Specifications:
The case, in stainless steel, has a hand-polished finish. It features double gimbals, and counter-balance free suspension. The glass is extra-white crystal. It measures 397mm x 152mm. Mirrored base.
Movement is the Thomas Mercer caliber TM3002 with 29 jewels, 14,400 vph and a power reserve of 30 days. It features a spring detent escapement. Ovalising balance oscillator with cylindrical weights. Mechanical spring drive with Double Fusee and steel chain system. Functions and indications are: hours, minutes, off-set seconds, perpetual calendar, equation of time, double power reserve ondicator, leap year, 3D moonphase, moon age, Zodiac, day and date. Hand polished, circular grained (barrels, zodiac ring). Rhodium plated.
It has a solid brass dial, done in a bas-relief technique, with blued steel hands.
