The Sixth Installment in their Great Americans Series
In partnership with the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Shinola has announced the sixth installment in their Great Americans Series, a collection of limited-edition watches honoring figures who have helped shape our culture and made a lasting mark on American history. This year they celebrate the Statue of Liberty, a universal symbol of freedom, diversity and democracy, the core values of our country.

"Shinola is a company that believes in opportunity, a value that the Statue has come to represent," said Shannon Washburn, President of Shinola. "As an American brand, we are proud to pay tribute to this iconic emblem of freedom."
"Our collaboration with Shinola comes at an exciting time for the Statue of Liberty," said Stephen A. Briganti, President and CEO of The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation. "We will soon unveil the new Statue of Liberty Museum, which showcases the history and symbolism that so fittingly embody this unique timepiece."
Offered in both a 47mm Runwell Chronograph and a 41mm Runwell, the design of these limited-edition timepieces features a concave ring engraved with the words "Liberty Enlightening the World," the name given to the statue by Bartholdi. The copper-colored crown, hands and indices symbolize the material of the statue; a gray dial emulates the statue's pedestal; and a caseback showcasing a three- dimensional relief of the torch with rose gold flames completes the look.
Limited to 1,000 pieces, the 47mm chronograph retails for $1,000 and the 41mm watch, limited to 1,500 pieces, retails for $800.
Thanks.
