2018 marks the 55th anniversary of the TAG Heuer Carrera collection. Since it was launched in 1963, this model has become synonymous with motor sport timekeeping.
The case, in stainless steel, measures 41mm. It has a polished black or blue ceramic bezel with tachometer scale. Domed AR-coated sapphire crysta and it is water resistant to 100 meters.
Movement is the Swiss automatic TAG Heuer caliber 16 (base ETA 7750) with 25 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 42 hours.
The dial is black or blue opaline. White flange with 60-second scale. White snailed opaline chronograph minute counter at 12 o'clock, lacquered red hand. White snailed opaline chronograph hour counter at 6 o'clock, lacquered red hand. White snailed opaline chronograph seconds counter at 9 o'clock, polished and rhodium-plated hand. Polished and rhodium-plated hour and minute indeces and hands with beige SuperLuminova. Lacquered red central hand. TAG Heuer logo and CARRERA AUTOMATIC inscription in white. Date window at 3 o'clock.
It comes on a black perforated leather strap with red stitching and a deployant, or a steel bracelet with H-shaped links.
