In 2017, Certina became a partner of the Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC), an organization that devotes itself to the conservation of the sea turtle and its habitats. Certina will now produce an exclusive special model to mark its dedication to this cause. The Sea Turtle Conservancy is a Florida-based organization that has been advocating the conservation of the sea turtle since 1959 the same year in which Certina debuted its DS (Double Security) Concept in Europe.
The case, in stainless steel, measures 43mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and it is water resistant to 200 meters. Unidirectional black bezel in aluminium with SuperLuminova markings. Caseback engraved with Sea Turtle Conservancy logo.
Movement is the Swiss automatic ETA caliber Powermatic 80 with 25 jewels, 21,600 vph and a power reserve of 80 hours.
The black dial has SuperLuminova hands and markers. Seconds hand and lettering in blue.
It comes on a steel bracelet.
