Millions of people know Joachim Horsley... without ever seeing or recognising him. He has composed film scores for Dreamworks productions, arranged songs for Michael Bublé and John Legend, performed on stage with Ben Folds, and even has a YouTube channel for his own arrangements, which have been played a record-breaking number of times with 10 million views in six months a feat unmatched by any other solo pianist.

Joachim Horsley and Corum came together to create a unique watchmaking composition, which was unveiled at a show at the Folies Bergère in Paris on February 15.

"To reinterpret Beethoven's 7th Symphony with a Cuban-inspired arrangement and rack up 10 million views in 6 months is no mean feat. It goes to show that one can break boundaries with a classical background while taking an audience to new, previously unexpected horizons," explains Jérôme Biard, CEO of Corum. "At Corum, we are taking this same path in watchmaking. It was a natural partnership. It is an ode to creativity, to non-conformism, and to celebrating new possibilities."

Technical Specifications:
The case, in 18kt white gold, measures 29.5mm x 42.2mm. It has double AR-coated sapphire crystals, and it is water resistant to 30 meters. The caseback is engraved with a metalized score of Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.

Movement is the Swiss manual-wind Corum in-house caliber CO113 with 19 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 40 hours.

The dial is a microstructure in silver with black treatment.
Hands: Baton-type hands, faceted, diamond-polished, and black-colored.

It comes on a black alligator leather strap with an 18kt white gold triple-blade folding clasp.

Corum teamed up with Reuge to mark this partnership and to give the "Golden Bridge Joachim Horsley" a unique presentation case. Specially designed for the artist, this music box will play three of the melodies personally arranged by Joachim Horsley: compositions by Bach, Mahler and Beethoven reinterpreted as rumbas or with Cuban-inspired beats.

In addition to this co-creation, Corum will also now be giving its clients music lovers or not the chance to create their own Golden Bridge based on the same model. Their metallic sapphire case back decoration can feature a different score, or they can even choose a motif, letters, or a coat of arms.

Thanks.
