Launched in 2015, the Clé de Cartier watch introduces the soft curve, a new shape in watchmaking, starting with the circle. On the side, the winding crown, illuminated by an arch-shaped sapphire, gives the watch its name and recalls, with starting the movement, the turning of a key to wind up a clock.
At the centre of a completely transparent dial, two hands appear to float in space with no connection to the movement. Pride of the watchmaker and true to Cartier's Fine Watchmaking codes, it combines the mysterious nature of its calibre with the elegance of its openwork dial featuring blue Roman numerals that echo the sapphire on the winding key.
41mm 950/1000 palladium case and Manufacture mechanical movement with manual winding, calibre 9981 MC.
