The company's Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Fabrice Deschanel to the position of CEO of Greubel Forsey SA and CompliTime SA.
The Greubel Forsey adventure began in 1999, with their first timepiece officially presented at Baselworld on April 2004. Thirteen years on, their Atelier has grown steadily while successfully preserving its singularity and the unique character of their creations. They have created 1,120 timepieces and 20 different calibers for the collectors' market.
Fabrice Deschanel joined Greubel Forsey in April 2017 and was appointed CEO on 1 June 2017. His role will be to pursue current and future projects. This appointment marks a decisive turning point for the Franco-Swiss 55-year-old. A PhD in Micro-Engineering, Mr Deschanel has more than 25 years' experience in Fine Watchmaking. He previously headed Audemars Piguet Renaud & Papi SA.
Fabrice Deschanel and Robert Greubel first met in 1990 as joint directors of operations at Renaud & Papi. Stephen Forsey joined them there two years later; he was tasked with working on the most complicated movements. Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey will continue to contribute in a creative and advisory capacity to company strategy as well as innovative developments. Mr Deschanel brings with him a wealth of industry experience that will enable Greubel Forsey to broaden and strengthen a strategy to build, going forward, on the successes achieved to date.
