Movement is the Swiss automatic Jaquet Droz in-house caliber 2653 AT1 with 57 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 68 hours. It features a silicon balance spring and pallet horns, double barrel, flat bridges, and a 22kt red or white gold rotor. Automaton with mechanism for moving the butterfly's wings and the wheel of the chariot, hand-winding automaton, with crown push-button triggering mechanism, triple barrel. Off-centered hours and minutes.
The exclusive automaton mechanism, for which two patents are also pending, took three years to develop. The power reserve, maintained with three barrels manually wound using the crown, allows the butterfly to delicately flutter its wings 300 times over a period of approximately two minutes.
The dial is black onyx with 18kt red gold appliques, 18kt red gold hands, and 18kt red gold appliques of cherub, chariot and butterfly body, or in black mother-of-pearl dial with hand-engraved 18-karat white gold appliques. 18kt white gold hands, and 18kt white gold appliques of cherub, chariot and butterfly body.
It comes on a rolled-edge hand-made black alligator leather strap with an 18kt red or white gold folding strap.
