Frederique Constant Launches the E-Strap
The Frederique Constant E-Strap is a patented smart buckle and strap that fits on any analog watch. It adds smart functionality to existing watches. The ultra-small buckle extension can hardly be seen, as it is thin and covered by the leather strap.
The Frederique Constant E-Strap is built on the full Horological Smartwatch Platform. The same MMT-365 App that accompany Horological Smartwatches is available to Frederique Constant E-Strap customers. Frederique Constant E-Straps track ACTIVITY with GET ACTIVE ALERTS as well as MONITOR SLEEP with SMART SLEEP ALARMS.
The E-Strap will be available for customers through the company's After Sales Service; so any analog watch sent to them will have the possibility to be fitted for an E-Strap, if the client so desires.
The new "E-Strap" is adaptable to every analog watch having a lugwidth of 20mm or 22mm. Frederique Constant and MMT SwissConnect worked together once more to adapt the same applications of the Horological Smartwatch to the E-Strap. With the help of the companion MMT-365 app, the user is able to check his or her figures at any time while simply wearing the E-Strap on any traditional Frederique Constant, or any other watch. The module inside the buckle has an ultra low power processor, highly integrated electronics device with bluetooth capabilities, and a rechargable battery.
Features of the E-Strap
Activity Tracking: Keep track of daily steps, calories burnt, and distance.
Sleep Monitoring: Wear the "E-Strap" at night or put it under the pillow to record the sleep pattern. A sleep tracking function provides details on how much time you spent in deep sleep, light sleep, or awake.
Sleep Cycle Alarm: Set a smart sleep alarm that will help you to wake up at the best appropriate time in your sleep cycle so that you wake up refreshed.
Get-Active Alerts: Set an alert to remind you to move if you've been idle for a set amount of time; you can customize your Get Active Alerts directly through the MMT-365 app.
Dynamic Coaching: Receive suggestions, tips, and information catered specifically to you based on your activity and sleep goals.
Cloud back-up and restore: Recover all of your data, even if you lose your E-Strap or phone. The E-Strap independently stores your activity and sleep for 30 days without having to synchronize it to your smartphone.
How does it work?
The user must first pair the E-Strap to the MMT-365 app on his or her iOS or Android cellphone, by pressing the discreet pusher. The user can switch from Activity Tracking to Sleep Monitoring mode directly from the E-Strap by pressing the pusher three seconds. Activity Tracking mode is active when the LED light is orange. The E-Strap is then ready to start monitoring the steps, calories, active time and distance. To set up the Sleep Monitoring, the user must press the pusher during 3 seconds (a blue LED light will confirm the switch) and the E-Strap will start to monitor sleep patterns. The E-Strap has a battery life of up to 7 days.
When worn, the buckle merges seemlessly with the strap and becomes an extension of the watch. The E-Strap buckle is available in steel or in rose gold or yellow gold PVD.
The package is complete with a special tool the user can use to fit the buckle into any other strap as long as the lugwidth measures 20mm or 22mm.
