Part of the Crosthwaite & Gavin Collection
This landmark thematic auction, to take place in Geneva in November 2017, will offer 49 of the finest and best-preserved collectible Heuer chronographs produced between 1962 and 1982 known to the community as the 'Jack Heuer Era'.

Richard Crosthwaite and Paul Gavin collection comprises some of the rarest and most important collectible Heuer models in existence.
The 49-piece collection comprises the iconic Autavia, Carrera, and Monaco models, including a complete, Ref: 1133B 'Steve McQueen' Monaco so called "no lume dial"; and a complete, new old stock example of one of the most coveted of all Monaco models, the 'Dark Lord' reference 74033N made in 1975.
Paul Maudsley, International Specialist-Director comments, "It is truly an honour to be entrusted with this stunning collection of Heuer chronographs from such an evocative era of the brand's history. Having known both collectors for many years and witnessed their attention and eye for detail in sourcing only the finest and rarest examples of legendary Heuers, this special auction will be a fitting tribute to their passion and dedication for collecting, whilst also bringing joy to the many new custodians of their special watches."

Aurel Bacs, Senior Consultant states, "It is my absolute pleasure to offer what is, without any doubt, the finest collection of vintage Heuer watches to come to the market in recent years. Comprised of some of the rarest and best preserved examples of Heuer's iconic models, Richard Crosthwaite and Paul Gavin's superb taste, collecting discipline, and masterful curation are reflected brilliantly in the collection we are thrilled to present this fall."

Finally, the very first example of a commemorative, limited edition Autavia model, number 1 of 1932, crafted by Swiss watch manufacturer TAG Heuer, will be presented at the 11 November auction. This special watch not only commemorates the 55th anniversary of the Autavia's launch, but also celebrates the 85th birthday of Jack Heuer, the honorary Chairman of TAG Heuer, and the great-grandson of the brand's founder, Edouard Heuer. The proceeds of the sale of this exclusive timepiece will be donated to the SAVE THE CHILDREN charity.
Thanks.
