Gucci Timepieces has released new additions to the Le Marché des Merveilles collection. The animal motifs - the tiger, bee and snake - are the hallmarks of this line, and are elegantly worked into these new extensions, which are defined by exquisite embroidery or finely-cut colored leather.
A detail that distinguishes Le Marché des Merveilles timepieces is the use of embroidery on the nylon dials, where intricate designs of a snake, tiger or bee are offset by the web striped background. Cases are coordinated to the colors of each timepiece, in yellow gold PVD or in stainless steel. The snake is also framed on a special leather variant, crafted from a single piece of leather used for both the strap and the dial. Here, a grainy leather strap is embellished with a highly detailed red snake design that spirals along the strap before being captured under the sapphire glass. This piece comes with a polished stainless steel case.
Technical Specifications:
The case, in stainless steel, or steel yellow gold PVD, measures 38mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and it is water resistant to 50 meters. Bee engraving on the back.
Movement is a Swiss ETA quartz caliber. Functions are: hours and minutes.
The dial, in nylon, features an embroidered bee, tiger's head or a snake. Green-red-green or
blue-red-blue Gucci stripe.
It comes on a brown Toscano calfskin leather strap, green-red-green nylon web or blue-red-blue nylon web, woven with the words "L'Aveugle par Amour" and a steel buckle.
Other versions include: Dial and strap crafted from a single piece of anthracite leather. Snake's head on the dial with the snake's body spiralling along the strap.
