As the next evolution of the partnership with the Carroll Shelby Company initiated in 2015, Baume & Mercier has introduced the limited edition Clifton Club Shelby Cobra, inspired by the legendary Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe, one of the most iconic car in American motorsports.
Car designer and racecar driver, Peter Brock personally joined with Baume & Mercier's Design Director Alexandre Peraldi to create this watch.
Technical Specifications:
The case, in sandblasted titanium and polished stainless steel, measures 44mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal, a sapphire display back, and it is water resistant to 50 meters. Protected crown. Push buttons shaped as car pedals.
Movement is the Swiss automatic La Joux-Perret caliber 8147-2 with 27 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 42 hours.
Circular-grained finished decor on the bridges and plate, blued steel screws, open-worked rotor done as a steering wheel's rim. Functions are: hours, minutes, seconds, flyback chronograph, tachymeter, and date.
Sun satin-finished half blue and half silver-colored dial with Arabic numerals. Rhodium-plated hands with Superluminova. Red chronograph's seconds hands with Cobra logo. Riveted flange with tachymeter (196 mph highlighted) and red side.
It comes on a blue "all roads" calfskin embossed leather strap with a carbon-like pattern Reverse turned edge rubberized black calfskin lining and a triple folding buckle with security push-pieces.
